Some Free Time

With her new found freedom thanks to her fake sick day, Violet didn't know what to do.. She had a good amount of time before she had to do anything..

She was dressed now in more simple clothing, a vibrant pink hoodie, blue and white stripped shirt with frills, lime green shorts, complete with a purple hat and practically matching shoes.

She strolled down the sidewalk, opposite of the cafe.. She had another job, she could pop in and see if they needed help. But she was still rather upset that the whole store had been obsessed with the idol..

"I mean yeah its a big deal when someone famous comes into some hole in the wall, but really? Swooning over every little thing?" She asked herself, out loud. She then stopped immediately. She spun on her heels and looked quickly down an alley she had just passed moment ago! She searched and searched and searched, but there was nothing there..

That was a lie.. There was plenty of trash and forgotten space. But no one was there. "I swear I saw someone.." She said to herself again, then slowly left it alone. As she got to the end of the street though, a little boy stuck his head out from the alley. A ghost that had died there weeks ago..

For a long while Violet has been sensitive to spirits.. Even though she was not aware of it. She's been hearing voices and seeing things out of the corner of her eyes a lot more now than before. Still she was not too aware of what was going on..

She continued down the road, not really in any specific direction, other than her home was that way. And even then Violet wasn't really heading in that direction. She realized after a few blocks that she was hungry.. She hadn't eaten yet, and now sounded as good as a time as ever.

She ran into her first problem on the way, where was she going to eat? Its not like she didn't know the area that well. Its just been a really long time since she's been out and about with no where to go and plenty of time to waste.

The brightly dressed girl found herself in the local sushi bar, drinking water and eating a ton of sushi rolls. She tried the shrimps that were spread over the rice.. But that wasn't as good as the ones with the crunchy little fruits.

She was polishing off another plat of her choice when she saw something out of the corner of her eye again. She thought it was someone she knew, as it was a tall figure just setting there and staring at her. But whens he looked over, she couldn't see anyone.. "That.. was weird.."

She returned to her food, but this same figure at the edge of her site appeared at least two more times. It was creeping Violet out enough to make her need to leave. Luckily she had enough food to survive..

Violet mad her way quickly away from the creepy sushi place, and down the road. Still no destination planned, but she didn't want to stick around the area for much longer. She also noted never to go back to that place. "Bad vibes there.."

Vi was still walking briskly towards the main street when a cat's meow startled her. Her feet left the street and she felt her heart stop, but only for a second before the bell on its collar rang as it started to scratch its neck.

With a sigh, Violet pressed both palms against the wall that the feline lay on, and at a slightly bent position let her head hang. "What a day it must be for me to get so startled by a cat.." She said to herself quietly.

"What a day indeed.." A voice sounded above her.

That was enough to make her push herself back off the wall, quickly attempting to leave whatever range the owner of the voice had. She put her hands up in a defensive, while unprofessional, way.

Only to look up at a male figure in stylish clothes. Though they did feel like the man was trying a little too hard to look Victorian. He had shined up shoes, and could pass for a better looking Butler than her boss had at the cafe. He was also slightly transparent, and smiling down at her while he pet the cat. Given his physical body seemed lacking a bit of solidness.. Violet couldn't figure out how the cat was purring at his touch..

He laughed, and grinned at her. "Don't be too frightened my little flower.." He said, then stroked the chain that was planted in his chest. "While I have this, you don't need to fear me."

"That's not very comforting seeing how the thing you think should, is even more disturbing.." Violet explained, keeping her pose.

"That's because you haven't encountered us before." The man explained, then jumped from the wall in his sitting position to a foot in front of Violet. He stood 2 feet over her, but who didn't? He looked down at her with a smile. "This chain means I have a chance to be saved. I am just waiting for someone to come find me. Are you that someone?" He asked, with a smile.

Violet gasped a bit as he got so close so fast, she bit her lip and meant to step away, but was locked into place by his presence. She had to look up to look him in the face, which she was naturally drawn, too. He was.. Handsome. Actually. And it made her flush with pink in her cheeks and want him to touch her.

Violet's silence made him sure that she wasn't, not like he though she really was. He reached up and ran his finger over her cheek. She would feel it, but then he would smile and walk away, only to vanish from her sight..

Vi was a bit stunned by what transpired in front of her, what kind of ghost was he to charm her before vanishing. then again, isn't that what they all do? Even in movies and books, they call out to the person behind pages or the screen. Or at least that's what she remembers, its been forever since she's done either reading of books or watching of movies. Her eyes look up to see if she could still see the cat. Or if that was an illusion as well.. It sat there for a moment longer before getting up and moving on with its life..

The girl looked around hesitantly, before moving along the wall back to the main street.. Would they ever meet again? Her and that mysterious man.. Who was totally a cutie~!
