Personality: Asuna is a loyal but somewhat confused young woman Split between her loyalties to soul society, and her loyalty to her heart. Despite this conflicting loyalty Asuna has shown a nearly relentless resolve to protect her family as she holds them on the highest of pedestals. Those closest to her would see her cold shell as it is, a means of protecting those around her.

Background: Asuna Shiraiyuki was born a midst an intense snowstorm. her mother a generally sickly woman gave birth with minor complications. Asuna matured quickly and spent every spare moment either reading or practicing Kendo. She began attending tournaments at the young age of 14 and quickly rose the national ranks competing 3 times in the national finals and winning twice using her unusual dual wielding style. she also began putting more effort into her studies. As her 16th birthday came closer and closer her mothers health took a turn for the worse as she slowly withered away into a coma. Asuna grief stricken and unsure of what to do removed herself from her family and spent several months missing. Those months were spent in the mountains, near her town where she spent time honing her skills with a blade, mastering multiple forms of sword combat allowing her to make kendo look like a dance. Upon her return her body had changed as she blossomed into a woman she also adapted to the icy temperatures of the mountain. however to her dismay she found he mother had passed away. As she spent the next month grieving the loss of her best friend she couldn't help but notice that her father had taken up drinking.

Months passed and her emotional wounds healed though she refused to open up to anyone, people began to refer to her as the girl with the frozen heart. while others who had seen her blade work referred to her as the queen of the blade. She received an invitation to the world championships of kendo where she placed third earning the respect and fear of a large portion of the community though she had a knack for making a very fast exit upon completion of a match. unbeknownst to the world her father a now rampaging alcoholic had taken to beating and abusing both her and her brother. in a drunken rage he approached her with a large kitchen knife she promptly disarmed and knocked him out leaving the house, with her little brother right behind her.

They spent the next 6 months living in the cold mountains as she practiced her craft and taught her brother how to handle himself with a blade, though it turned that the cold was too much for him. he succumbed to a mild case of hypothermia and she immediately rushed him to the hospital, while she waited in the emergency room she saw her father walk in. she immediately stood up and blocked him from continuing to see her brother causing him to turn around in an angry rush. Shortly after her brothers doctor stepped into the waiting room with grim news. her brother was in a coma.  Asuna's guilt soared as she felt remorse for taking him out into the mountains to try to protect him.

the years passed as asuna continued to watch her little brother make small steps towards recovery, though he was never allowed out of the hospital. She took time off from her college studies despite having finished her doctorate  and a masters degrees. her kendo and school were the only things asuna had and she continued to practice and study daily. one day while asuna sat in the waiting room waiting for her brother, she saw her dad walk in once more, she got up to stop him but instead he greeted her and asked her to come with him outside that he needed to apologize for his behavior. as they stepped outside to the parking lot he made small talk before embracing her. Asuna sensed something was off but before she could react she felt a long blade pierce her back through her heart and out her chest. as he threw her to the ground she could feel her body going numb as she gazed on at the several inches of steel protruding from her bosom.

My concern mainly is the weakness for reishi spilling out uncontrolled since it is a trait of that type of level of reishi its best to put reishi control instead.

Lesse, poor reiatsu control, unstable reiryoku, etc etc... Looks good up until over-analytical. Not sure if someone on the previous site approved that or not, but that's not actually a weakness we accept. That tends to be an NPC-only weakness (A cheaty one if you will). You can probably up some of your other weaknesses to cover it rather easily, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
