City Conquest.

[Alessandra]

Alessandra left the marketplace leaving the shinigami junko in her wake, she didnt care for the politics nor did she appreciate trying to be recruited by her enemies.

it all put a sour taste in her mouth, though her highly attuned senses did sense a highly strong pressure that she had to make the assumption of being a captain.
"that captain asuna that that girl referred to more than likely" alessandra presumed.

based on what she had been able to feel, she figured that she was close to twice as strong as the hollow she fought. that terrified alessandra but the affairs of the soul reapers didnt concern her. this city had many surprises.
and alessandra intended to find all of them.

moving through the city was easy for her as usual. her wounds were healing quite nicely and soon she would be at 100 percent. though her fight with the hollow did present a interesting quandary. "how can i maintain distance." she asked herself.

she knew that as a sniper distance, and stealth were her biggest allies. despite having a powerful weapon she knew her weakness. in close range she was severely outmatched, even by quincy standards.

Information was another key component to any stratagem. "understanding the layout of the city, and its key points will help  formulate a plan" she thought as she stepped into the threshold of the cities largest library.

she immediately began searching for maps of the city, waterways, and points of interest as she looked through atlas, after atlas, book after book.

Taking notes of each book, and pictures with her phone. she put each book away in turn.

her ability to adapt, and find intel had proven useful is countless occasions. it seperated her from the gun slinging grunts. she chuckled to herself thinking about her last mission in Russia.

Alessandra closed her eye's as she replayed the mission in her head.

"get to the checkpoint" she found herself deep behind russian lines, her rifle hidden behind her cloak as she walked amongst the russian populace. her eye's always scanning despite looking just like your average russian subject.

she avoided talking unless spoken to, but her german accent was hidden well by her ability to speak basic russian. never once did she draw suspicion, she was for all intents and purposes. invisible.

she found herself plenty of info on the city but wanted to make sure her intel was correct, she had found multiple cisterns under the city that allowed her to plot a good escape route to her extraction point.

her mission was simple, to take out a corrupt russian official planning on selling plutonium to a middle eastern terrorist cell.

"if unleashed on the world thousands if not tens of thousands would die." she reminded herself as she found a solid sniper hide, obscured from the air by cover and a large steel overhead, she was protected from being spotted from above by thermal optics, and satellite, the shot was nearly a mile out. but Alessandra was the top of her class, and had been entrusted to ensure the kill. a second sniper team was stationed nearby set to deliver a second shot should she fail.

as she watched through her high powered optical scope she felt a odd feeling in the back of her mind nagging at her to get out of the area asap.

"the mission comes first, i only need one shot" she told herself as she put it at the back of her mind.

her British made l115a3 rested on the ground as she began running mathematical computations based on her range.

the air was calm, with slight moisture in the air. she knew she was looking at a LITTLE OVER 2 SECONDS OF FLIGHT TIME FOR HER .338 Lapua round. so she adjusted her shot accordingly. as she placed her finger over her trigger she heard a distant shot ring out, followed by several others.

her target began running as she watched carefully through her rifle, she knew she had to lead him now that the op had been compromised.

her finger tightened on the trigger and a jolt of recoil pounded her shoulder as the loud BANG of the rifle kicked up the dust around her. no more than 2 seconds later she saw her target crumple over in the middle of the street. she knew her target didnt feel a thing any more. as she quickly packed up her rifle and began moving she heard many yelling soldiers nearby. the firefight from a few moments ago had ceased. she knew the other team was either dead or captured.

in her head she could hear each heart beat pounding, each labored breath as she ran.

she didnt stop even as she heard the snap pop of russian 7.62 rounds impacted the ground around her. she felt a jolt in her side followed by a warm burning sensation. as she continued to run.

she knew she was hit, she could feel the damage in her side though while not serious was bleeding pretty badly.

her Quincy training kicked in as she attempted to slow or halt the flow of blood using a simplistic form of the quincy blut.

it worked. but just barely.

several more rounds burst through the trees near her as she ran. her legs growing slightly more tired as she ran.

despite that she knew if she stopped, she was dead. she had to find a way to ambush her pursuers or lead them off her.

she knew they had more gear, and more weight on them, she was lighter and faster. if she could get enough distance she could effectively hide or wait them out.

her planning from earlier kicked in as she quickly drew a mental map in her mind while guessing roughly at where she was. she had about 2 kilometers to the extraction zone and roughly an hour to get there. she could run it in 7 mins but she knew she could not be extracted if under fire. so the problem arose once more

"i have to shake these guys" she told herself.

her chest was hurting from the non stop sprint, but she would endure, her side still slowly bleeding gave her an idea.

heading towards the cistern system she found a in inlet pipe, quickly rubbing her blood on the piping she tossed her rifle inside of the pipe and turned towards her evac point.

as she ran she could hear the loud explosion of a fragmentation grenade. she knew they found the pipe system, she only hoped that they would suspect she went in there.

she turned her focus north, back towards the evac point as she slowed down. in the distance she could hear the sound of gunfire back at the pipeline.

[Alessandra]

as she reached the evac point she could hear the inbound chopper. the sounds of gunfire had faded as the chopper landed near her. quickly loading up the chopper took off.


alessandra woke up with her face in a book. after a quick glance at her watch, she began rushing herself, as she returend the books back to their respective locations before collecting her things and leaving the library. the sun now nearly set reminded her of what she had to do.

Alessandra found her way back to her hotel room. as she stepped into the bathroom she felt a overwhelming sense of peace. especially after filling up the large Jacuzzi tub full of hot water and bath salts.

as she lay there resting she began to think of how hard it was going to be to clean the city, but as alessandra knew very well. patience was a virtue.

the Large bathtub did much good for her achy body, her wounds almost stopped hurting entirly.

her tealish hair floated beside her as she lay in the tub focusing her thaughts on the many things that had run through her head. she committed as much of the map to memory as she could and simply rested in the hot water.

she reached over and turned on a small mp3 player and put on some music, as she lulled off into deep thaught.
