Lilith was about to snap at Evan again, when she realized the sound of his voice was far to female to be him. Maybe his figure... Ok, not his figure. She turned to Rose, her rage still burning. This was her fault! If she hadn't been so in love with Akumu! Then she realized something... A benefit to this.. If she was going to spend the rest of her life loyal to that creepy man. Then she could have Keyno all to herself! "I love him." She said, nodding decidedly. "Simple as that."

Rose didn't seem phased by this, not on the outside. But there was a surge of angry jealousy.. And as powerful as that was for Rose to feel anything, she did not show it. She did not act on it.. She didn't know why she didn't like Lilith saying such things... "Mm.." Was all the response she had, a simple grunt before looking away and staring blankly at the world as it drove past her.

Evan watched from the sidelines. "Interesting..."

From the outside..

Well from the human's point of view, there was nothing there. But if they could see her, Rose would look like she was in a daze. A daze of pure boredom, really. But while she had the ability to calculate attacks, put herself in a position to make a fighter uncomfortable, and could actually fight now. She still wasn't big on thoughts outside of battle.

That would be Evan. Who, even if you could see Rose, you couldn't see him.

Evan was lounging back looking up at the sky. Or rather the ceiling of the bus stop. He's already had thoughts about how interesting this little bus stop has been engineered. It was made to keep the rain and sun out, but not the temperature. It was to help the public keep comfortable, but wouldn't make a great spot for the homeless. Not like he's seen any homeless in this area..

But he was currently keeping himself busy with thoughts and memories of the time he had spent in the Citadel. He shared Rose's disappointment that they weren't to return there for a very long time. He found the whole place fascinating, but above all else, the place below everything else was more intriguing..

He wondered if the scientist has already finished his little experiment. If there was an army of hollows at his command. If they were no longer rambunctious, nor ready to eat each other. He wondered what all those computer screens had told his friend.

...Friend..

"..Strange.."

Evan had to be a bit manipulative, but he has never gone so far to controlling Rose. And yet, he wasn't as worked up about this as Lilith was. He has been trying to figure out why exactly for a long time, but hasn't came up with anything satisfactory yet. His manipulation was always a gentle one with Rose's being in the best of mind. He encouraged her to be with Keyno, because a physical guide was probably better than this broken mental one.

But he found it funny that he's never tried to use his friendship to sway her one way or another.. Probably because Rose doesn't think like that. HE doesn't think like that. But it made one wonder, why it was so easy for him to call her friend. He knew the reason! He could not know. But there was a mind blowing sensation to think about how he has never manipulated her with friendship. But he had been forced to call her friend.

This made him laugh.

'So does that mean she really can think like that?' He mused to himself with a pleased smile on his face.

His earlier thoughts were just because he usually didn't call anyone friend. Keyno was just Keyno, Lilith was a brat, but Shikei.. He was considered a friend? Has Rose put a little bit of her ideas into him, or was he adopting the idea of friendship?

In the end it didn't matter enough for him. He was still wondering if the experiment had been a success, and if Rose would be needed for another stage, or if she had helped.. He hoped she would be needed again, if only so that he could learn more.

He glanced over at Rose. He was actually right next to her. Lilith found it better to distance herself from them both. Rose seemed fine. Akumu's leash to the collar that he put around her neck had almost snapped clean away when she had been pushed into that coffin small machine. And at the same time.. It really was nothing.

Nothing like the brittleness of what he and Lilith felt when Rose felt like Akumu was going to abandon her. For just a moment there he felt like he could actually see the chains around the original personality start to fall from around her. But Akumu just picked them up, wrapped them back around her, and smoothed away her fears.

He worried about the day when Rose would realize she was being used.. If this what pain brought out of her, what would betrayal create?

Lilith was content with her win. Excitement quickly replaced the worry of another attack by this Rose when she announced her love for Keyno. But it never came, and she was giddy once more!

She was the very picture of a girl in love. Legs hanging off the bench, kicking at imaginary water, umbrella still in hand, shading her from the son. The biggest and truest smile one could ever see. And yet.. No one could see. No one at all. But that made no difference to Lilith. She was humming a love tune. Or what sounded like something lovely to her.

The more she thought about it, the more she liked the idea. Let Rose have Akumu. She could love Keyno better anyways! And he was her's. Her's and her's alone! She couldn't wait to see him again. She was going to throw her arms around him, kiss him, and do whatever else it was he wanted. Whatever else she wanted.. They would have tea and cookies, go on a date! Maybe a cute row-boat scene where she would accidently slip and almost fall. Only for him to catch her in his arms, wrap her up tight in them, and kiss her again!

Her excitement exploded in flowers! It was a mental trick, but they sprouted around her, twirled, and danced to her delight!

'Or we could go to dinner where we will dance, and dine, and laugh! He will hold my hand. Kiss it.. Press me into his strong arms! He will tell me how much he loves me, and I can....

I... Can..'

Lilith's face turned bright red at the thought of telling Keyno about her feelings. Oh how could she possibly tell him? Oh but how could she not! It was hard enough trying not to just let it explode out!

Lilith then frowned dramatically. As something finally hits her. "Crap." She now had a mad look on her face.

She had to wait though! She had to wait for an indefinite time! Because of that stupid knuckle dragging idiot! Rose! How could she not see it! Rose was secretly playing her!

Surely she was! Because why else would she be okay with her announcing her love for Keyno, if she knew they would be seeing him any time soon? No. She would have to suffer.. Suffer being unable to see him, let alone go on their first date! She glared in Rose's directions, cursing the manipulative hollow.

The flowers were gone.. She was surrounded by darkness, fire, and hate...

Rose was affected by neither... She was just there. Waiting.. An awful amount of waiting. But waiting. Akumu said she had to agree to Asuna's request. Which she saw as her only goal for now. And without a goal, Rose wouldn't be doing anything anyways. So she waited..
