Feeding her Wound, and Healing her Hunger.

As Rose strolled through the 'terminal' she was greeted with the colossal sound of eerie silence. Not by death itself in the form of a hollow assassin gate-keeper. Nor did she meet a friendly face, waiting to welcome her into the city of arrancars. She wasn't even greeted by a trap, where she was thrown down a pit that lead to a smooth surfaced tunnel that acted as a slide and forced her to travel to a Colosseum. Where the keepers of the city would force her to fight hollow after hollow until she has proven her worth.

She didn't even find an unhappy gate keeper with a drawn out depressed voice telling her 'welcome' and throwing a handful of confetti over her to celebrate.

There wasn't a soul to be found, hollow or not.

While it was a dreaded ominous feeling that the gateways to 'hell' went completely unattended when it felt like they should be, it was also interesting to wonder about why.. However, the two doing most of the wondering were Evan and Lilith. Rose had that same blank look on her face.

Actually, it was mostly Evan doing the wondering, as that seemed to be his job. Experience might even describe him accurately.. He was looking around for something to define his memory of this, but he also knew in the back of his mind.. That they had just had a war.

This was before this Rose controlled the body of the hollow. Before Rose even was a part of the Takusen. Before that, she had to fight a shinigami. Her first shinigami. And it was in the war that rocked the reality of the humans. To his knowledge, no one has any epiphanies.. No one had seen Soul Reapers battling Hollows.

He was sure someone had seen the massive hole that Rose had created with her body in that office building, but chances were no one got hurt. Other than that shinigami. He coudn't recall the man's name. Of course it didn't matter.. As they had been interrupted by another fighter. They didn't exchange pleasantries.. But he'd recognize her if he saw her.

That was when Akumu showed up.

Evan knew he was a hollow, and thought the influence of another hollow would be good for her. But he didn't expect him to actually force his influence on her. Rose was probably all too willing to do whatever than male told her to, brain washing or not.

But their focus was not that hollow. But all the other ones. The arrancar to be specific. There had been multiple arrancar all over the battle field that night. Fighting with shinigami of equal or stronger power. He did not know why.. But he wanted to. And they were headed right into the lion's den.

They walked through the eerily quiet halls, Lilith's gaze going in all different directions, expecting something to jump out at them. They went undisturbed though.. Well. Physically. Lilith saw things carved into the wall, like the graphic writing of Egypt. She had her parasol out again, and it waved slowly to one side as she looked behind her. She was just waiting for something to jump out and scare her.

More likely they would be attacked.. But she was expecting a scare either way.

When they reached the end of the hall, Lilith felt a slight bit of relief. There was nothing saying they wouldn't be attacked on the other side of the threshold, - which was an impressive looking frame in the wall but had no doors to speak of, - but she felt as if they were going to get through this scary pillared hallway without a scratch.

What a fool she turned out to be.

Out of the shadows, a cero was launched, and hit Rose dead on. But it was either so weak or so half-hearted that after the explosion and the dust cleared, Rose was left standing with her arm raised in a defensive way. Her gold eyes were intensely looking to her left.

In the darkness a laugh came, and from the shadows, a man walked. He was tall... At least 7 foot. His right arm was clutching his left, which had been wounded severely, blood still ran down it. He had facial hair, and long locks that were pulled back in a half ponytail, strands pulled free of it, scratches bathed him in the wash of war.. And he met the cold stare of the imperfect arrancar with equal intense look in his silver eyes. "You think you can just walk in like you own the place?" His whispered voice sounded in pain, but hinted with loyalty..

"So far you are the only one who has tried to stop me." Rose answered, lowering her hand. There was a dark spot where the cero hit, but she was unfazed.. "So yes."

The silver eyes glared into her gold colored ones. He raises his right hand, in a way he's done a million times and more, to release another cero, one at close range. Rose simple turned to face him, holding his gaze.. The cero was formed in his hand, and he charged it, boldly staring her in the face. "Why don't you try to run?" Some life was brought back into his voice.

"I don't need to run away from your weak attacks.." Rose said, then took a step towards him.

Her approach gave him pause, but he reminded himself that most of, or all of, the strongest arrancar were lost to the war.. The weaker ones picked off. He managed to escape..

"Just because you are a girl.. Doesn't mean I won't attack." He threatened, still charging it. He had to.. She was not false in how weak his cero's were. He needed rest.. But he vowed to stop anyone who approached the place in the mean time. Even at the risk of what was left of his life.

Rose just took another step closer. Ignoring his threats.

Her bravado was impressive.. But her glare and intimidation did nothing to him.. He no longer had any hope. He set his cero off to hit her in the face, but she deflected it by shoving her hand upward into his, and inflicting both pain and disbelief into the arrancar. Who next received a punch in the face.

He howled out, grabbed his nose, and stumbled backwards until he was forced to fall back and onto the hard marble floor.

Rose was on top of him. Even for a slower type, she could move faster than a wounded man. She was also fast enough to draw her weapon, and shove the pointed end into his damaged shoulder. He screamed out a very honest cry of pain, then his wound absorbed her poison and it went numb.. He was confused, but she had his attention. "That looks painful, what happened?" There was what acted like compassion in her voice.. But the idea that this Rose had anything like that was ludicrous. Still Evan listened in.

Kar wasn't sure how to take the female's actions.. But she seemed interested in his shoulder. He wasn't interested in reliving it, but he figured he should before she finished off the process. "Quincy shot me with an arrow that exploded. She wasn't very nice."

He thought that was all she wanted, but she continued to stare at him, as if she was thinking it over. What 'it' was, wasn't known. "The hell with the arm! What are you doing here? Who are you? Who are you working for?"

Rose just continued to stare at him, then she gave the weapon the lightest twist as she leaned a different way. It felt like lightening struck his shoulder, and he howled again, in worse pain than before. In a instant he was covered in sweat and bit back more pain. As he huffed through it, she spoke.

"Currently? Asuna. But I am here to heal and eat." Not on orders.

Kar was still panting when he heard her speak again. Even toned and in the most minimum words possible while still making sense. "Good luck with that.. The doctors are more likely still on the battlefield.. If there weren't healing they were fighting. And the leaders of the barracks are all assessing the casualties. I am here on my own will, but there won't be anything there for an outsider like you." He warns. He then looks her over, as best as he could in his position. "What wounds..? You only have that scratch on you."

"That is my wound.. Master won't like it if I'm covered in more scars." Rose answered, this time with a frown as she thought about Akumu.

"He won't understand that kind of thinking, Rose." Evan stepped in.

Rose looked up at Evan, confusion flickering over her face. "Why not?"

This itself confused Kar. He looked up at an empty space, not sure who she was looking at, or even talking to. Did she mean him?

Evan shook his head. "Anyways it sounds like everyone is concerned with the war.. Maybe this was a bad idea after all." He said, then looked back at the door way. "Should we think about turning around and going back to the Forest of Menos?"
